The Dental Anesthesia Incident Reporting System (DAIRS) is an anonymous, self-reporting system used to collect and analyze anesthesia incidents in order to improve the quality of dental anesthesia care. All dental anesthesia providers are encouraged to report any unintended event related to the delivery of anesthesia for a dental patient in DAIRS.
The AAOMS Anesthesia App will be utilized to verify the new anesthesia membership requirements related to simulation, mock emergency drills and the anesthesia survey in addition to capturing the data from the onsite OAE. The mobile application for anesthesia resources for OAE evaluators is also to enhance the evaluation process and have appropriate documentation every five years.
