Dr. Christopher Scott, DMD, MD is a resident at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is originally from Girdwood, Alaska where he grew up alpine ski racing. He graduated with honors from Stanford University in 2006 with a degree in International Relations. He then served ten years, attaining the rank of major, in the Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq and Pakistan. He completed his dental degree at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2018. He began training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2018 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in the 6-year, MD-integrated track. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with a medical degree in 2022. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserve the same year. He is expected to complete his training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2024 and will then complete a one-year fellowship in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery at the University of Oklahoma. He lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife Natalie, son Tatum, and laborador retriever Winni.
