Dr. Miller is a craniofacial surgeon and co-director of pediatric cleft and craniofacial disorders program at University Health System. Dr. Miller is board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery and holds a certificate of added qualifications in pediatric craniomaxillofacial surgery from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is fellowship qualified in pediatric craniomaxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Miller graduated with his medical (MD) degree from the University Of Florida College Of Medicine and his dental degree (DMD) from the University of Kentucky. He completed an internship in general surgery and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Florida, College of Medicine – Jacksonville. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in pediatric craniofacial surgery at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Miller is an Assistant Professor & Vice Chairman of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Health San Antonio. He holds appointments in the Departments of Pediatrics and Neurosurgery. Dr. Miller practices maxillofacial and craniomaxillofacial surgery with an emphasis in pediatric craniomaxillofacial surgery, reconstructive facial surgery, neuroplastic reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, repair of cleft lip and palate, and complex craniofacial conditions. He has dedicated his professional life to the care of individuals with facial differences.
In addition Dr. Miller is actively involved and enjoys teaching medical students and residents. He is a member of the following local, national and international organizations: American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association, a founding member of the Society of Neuroplastic Surgery, American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Miller is a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and continues to serve as a Colonel in the United States Army Reserve.
