Dr Barboza is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She graduated with a Dental degree with honors from The University of Costa Rica, in 2002. After graduating she did a Diplomat in Advance Prosthodontics and Implant dentistry in 2003 from the University of Costa Rica. In 2004 she moved to Bogota, Colombia where she completed her residency training first in Prosthodontics and subsequently in Periodontics at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Dr Barboza moved to Dallas, Texas to do an Implant Fellowship at Texas A&M HSC-Baylor College of Dentistry in 2008. She has an active practice at the school that involves complex cases of trauma and pathology since 2009 at UTHSC San Antonio and she also serves as a faculty to the undergraduate program and the Oral and maxillofacial Program in the area of Prosthodontics and Implantology.
