Dr. Abramowicz is Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine and Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Her interests focus on the biological behavior and natural history of congenital, developmental, and acquired maxillofacial deformities in children. She concentrates on multidisciplinary collaboration with various healthcare disciplines. Dr. Abramowicz completed the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Florida. She spent years at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard School of Medicine/Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She was then recruited to Emory University School of Medicine and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She was awarded the Faculty Educator Development Award and Research Support Grant by Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation. She is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
