Keyur Naik is a native of Princeton, New Jersey and is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center. He is also concurrently a student at New York University School of Medicine. He received both his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Columbia University in the City of New York in 2017 and 2013, respectively. Upon graduating for Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Keyur received awards for Divisional Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Certificate of Merit from the American Academy of Oral Medicine. While at Columbia University, Keyur developed an array of research interests in the areas of clinical science, basic science, and dental education. These interests led to authorship of a paper regarding the relationship of sialosis and gout in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and to presentations on oral cancer education in dental schools at the American Association for Dental Research national meeting and the Greater New York Dental Meeting. Keyur has continued to pursue clinical and basic science research as a resident at New York University. Under the guidance of Dr. Andrea Torroni, he has explored clinical outcomes of maxillofacial trauma with particular interest in the treatment of mandibular condyle fractures. Other areas of interest include oral cancer with Drs. Brian Schmidt and Aditi Bhattacharya, and dental implantology with Dr. Thomas Wiedemann.
