Dr Rania A Habib, DDS MD is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who is fellowship trained in Pediatric Craniofacial surgery. She completed her doctor of dental surgery at University of Minnesota in 2009, her dual degree oral surgery residency and medical degree at University of Maryland/Shock trauma in 2015 and her Pediatric Craniofacial fellowship under the direction of Dr. Barry Steinberg at University of Florida, Jacksonville in 2018. Since that time, she has held assistant professor positions at LSU, New Orleans and University of Pennsylvania. She currently works as an independent contractor for her self-founded company, Osiris Health LLC where her goal is to build a busy Pediatric Cleft & Craniofacial practice in addition to full scope OMFS. She holds committee possitions for AAOMS and ACPA. Always committed to advancing the field, she reviews articles for JAOMS and the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Journal. She uses her voice on social media to encourage more women and under represented minorities to consider a career in surgery and to help the public understand the depth of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She is dedicated to providing care to the underserved and has participated in several international medical missions to provide Cleft and Craniofacial surgery to underserved populations. Dr Habib is also a podcast host for Radio MD/Doctor Podcasting, where she lends her voice to host medical podcasts for various medical systems across the country that cover a wide array of topics. She loves mentorship and aims to mentor 10–12 dental students each year who are interested in a career in OMFS and she has a high success rate of her students matching into programs across the country.
