Wrong tooth, wrong site surgery continues to play the oral and maxillofacial surgery profession. These surgical errors in practice management comprise 11-15% of all malpractice claims, and can be avoidable through understanding of how these problems occur, installation and use of office systems, simple protocols, checklists and staff management protocols.
