Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Triangle Implant Center Durham, North Carolina
Haptic robotic guidance has been shown to be an effective method for single implant therapy. Recently, the FDA approval of full-arch haptic guidance has made reconstruction of complex full-arch cases using robotic technology a viable option. This session will review experience in the design of the haptic bone guides over the past years and current surgical outcomes. The session also will cover the planning, surgical and prosthetic implementation of robotic surgery to reconstruct the full arch.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
Describe and list the step required for same-day haptic robotic implant surgery for the full arch.
Summarize the use of prefabricated removable prosthesis in conjunction with haptic robotic guidance for reconstruction of the full arch.
Explain the risks and complications associated with haptic robotic full-arch reconstruction.
Define and describe the armamentarium required to complete haptic robotic surgery.
Describe the conversion of the prosthesis using dynamic planning.
