Patients with osteoradionecrosis (ORN) present numerous challenges for clinicians in managing oral healthcare needs and may have a broad health impact for patients with a history of radiation therapy. There are controversies related to the efficacy of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, pentoxifylline and dental implants. This case-based presentation will review evidence-based data and innovative strategies for diagnosis, risk assessment, prevention and management of ORN with related outcomes and complications.
