Yedeh P. Ying, DMD, MD, FACS (he/him/his)

Associate Professor
University of Alabama at Birmingham

Yedeh Ying, DMD, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Ying holds a medical degree from Harvard Medical School and subsequently completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital in 2014. In July 2016, he completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at Head and Neck Surgical Associates in Portland, OR. Prior to this, he attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA where he received his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering and obtained his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Ying has clinical and research interests in head and neck surgical oncology, microvascular reconstructive surgery, obstructive sleep apnea and improving health outcomes in minority patient populations.
