Dr. Christopher Ban was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated jointly from the Honors College and the School of Architecture at the University of Notre Dame. He attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where he earned his DMD, snd completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with distinction, producing several nationally published articles, including in the Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Ban is board-certified by both the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Ban is also Associate Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Univ. of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, University Hospital, and Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital. Additionally, he is on the medical staff in the department of surgery at Allegheny General Hospital, Heritage Valley Health System in Beaver, and UPMC-Passavant.
Dr. Ban is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and Secretary of the Western Pennsylvania Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.
