Jeff Prinsell received his DMD from Tufts University and MD from Vanderbilt University. He completed a dental GPR, general surgery internship, and OMS residency at Vanderbilt. Dr Prinsell has authored numerous publications and lectured extensively on OSA surgery, including innovative staging algorithms and telegnathic surgical principles. His most notable clinical research is a 100% success of telegnathic MMA with adjunctive extrapharyngeal procedures in a single-staged site-specific approach in 50 consecutive patients (Chest 1999;116:1519-29).
Dr Prinsell is a Diplomate of the ABOMS, past president of the GSOMS, founding president of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (DSM), past president of the American Academy of DSM, past chair of the AAOMS OSA CIG, past directors of the AADSM and Associated Professional Sleep Societies' multidisciplinary treatment of OSA courses, served on the American Academy of Sleep Medicine standards of practice task force to update practice parameters for OSA surgery, and maintains an OMS private practice in Marietta GA.
